I am delighted to welcome you to our diverse and vibrant school community.

At Thornbury Primary School we acknowledge we gather and learn on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, where we encourage all students to appreciate and celebrate the richness of the world’s oldest living culture. Our commitment to Indigenous education is reflected right across our school and in all our programs, including learning Woiwurrung language and respecting culture.

We are dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive community where every individual feels valued, respected, and included. Our school is a place where differences are celebrated and diversity is embraced. We believe that in this inclusive environment, students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

I am excited about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead as we continue to learn and grow as a community, and I look forward to celebrating the development, achievements, and successes of our students.

Remix: TPS Arts Festival 2026

Saturday 17th October 11am - 4pm

Get Excited for Remix!

We hope you are all getting excited for this year’s Arts Festival, Remix, on Saturday 17 October, 11am–4pm! This special event is a wonderful celebration of our TPS community, showcasing creativity, connection and fun for all ages.

There will be plenty to enjoy throughout the day, including a bake sale, Zooper Doopers, BBQ, fairy floss, and some of our favourite food trucks serving delicious treats and meals.

We’re also looking for parent/carer volunteers to help make the day a success. Whether you can lend a hand at the BBQ or bake sale, assist as a stagehand, support the art activities, or help in another way, every contribution makes a difference.

Or simply come along and support our amazingly talented students as they perform throughout the day!

We’d love to see as many families as possible get involved and help create a fantastic day for our community! ???

2027 Foundation Transition Program

Tuesday November 10th, 17th and 24th and Tuesday December 1st

Getting Familiar with the school grounds, classrooms and teachers

Nature Play, Classroom Discovery, Story Time Magic and Marvelous Maths.
All these things take place while the grown-ups meet with the staff to gain important information to help with a smooth start to school.

Kensington Pride Mango Trays!

Everybody's favourite fundraiser is back and officially open for 2026! ???

It's time to stock up on delicious, juicy Kensington Pride mangoes. The harvest is looking fantastic this year, and we're excited to announce that the trays are back to their generous 7kg size.

If you're already planning to buy mangoes this summer, why not support our school at the same time? Every tray sold helps raise valuable funds for our school community while giving you a delicious seasonal treat to enjoy.

There is no limit to the number of trays you can order, so don't forget to stock up for family, friends, neighbours, Christmas celebrations, and summer entertaining!
